But remember, to keep the rest of your makeup, especially the eyes in subtle shades or nude. Only black mascara on the top lashes is all you require.

How to get bold red evening party makeup look:

– Pick a sheer lipstick for a more natural look. Avoid matte or cream formulas.
– Now, apply lip balm and leave it for few minutes.

Strobing is in, Contouring is out- The differences!

It seems like every day brings about a new must-try makeup products. As soon as you master the basic of makeup with base and foundation. Every magazine in the world proclaims the new highlight-only technique called strobing. It is basically a highlighter with a twist.

And what’s the difference between contouring and Strobing?

There’s a lot of difference between these two. When you’ve mastered the fine art of foundation and mascara, the next level is the shading and shaping of the face. Contouring is all about making shadow to add depth and structure to the face and strobing highlights certain areas. It’s about adding light to lift, brighten and highlight the areas that you want to pop out. While strobing is very different to contouring, strobing adds dimension to the face by using different techniques whereas the contouring is a makeup style with its heavy and dark foundations used to contour the areas close to the hairline, chin, and neck.

Comparisons of strobing versus contouring have been made in side-by- side photos of celebrities wearing both makeup styles. While some wish the glammed-up and harsh look of contouring, others say the natural look of strobing offers a more realistic fashion trend.

Kim Kardashian is mainly credited as the one who brought contouring to the world, her sister — Khloe Kardashian — is one of the celebrities rocking out the strobing look.

Get the gorgeous look in 5 easy steps with Strobing!

Strobing is the latest trend word that has taken the beauty world by tempest. It’s the opposite to contouring; it is a method that removes all shadow from your face while contouring adds shadow.

How to strobe:

Strobing is all about getting the flawless perfect glow, so you’ll need to replenish dry, dull skin with a good moisturiser first.

Step 1:  Start with an illuminating base. Always go for a hydrating, dewy finish as this harmonizes the highlighting. This helps to achieve that flawless skin instantly.

Step 2:  Next choose the lightweight Concealer. It helps to hide any imperfections on the skin. If your concealer is heavy weight mix it with moisturiser and buffing on to the skin.

Step 3:  Once you have your base sorted its time to apply the lightweight strobing cream to the upper cheekbones, under the eyebrows, temples and the bow of the lip.

Step 4:  After you’ve applied the highlighter, mix it out with your fingers, brush or a makeup sponge.

Step 5:  Use the illuminating powder to enhance more by applying to the lower cheekbones, above the eyebrow line, bridge of the nose to add a soft natural highlight.

There is no exact way to strobe so you can use the cream and the powder together to find your own way to glow!

Manage your tresses on these Monsoon days!

Rains are romantic, rains are enjoyable and rains bring great relief from scorching sun. While we are happy because of the refreshing charmed that the rainy season has brought, several hair related problems appear during this season. Among all of them is the hair fall. We generally lose around 50 to 60 strands of hair a day. But during this season, the hair fall goes up to somewhere around 200 to 250 hair strands per day! This is quite a scary figure for most of us. Don’t let your heart broke over every hair strands; try out some of these easy and effective tips to manage your tresses this monsoon:

1. Protective Cover:

Remember to protect your hair from rain water, dust and strong winds. Carry an umbrella or caps every time you step out and cover your head to keep your scalp dry and healthy. Not only will this protect your tresses from potential hair weaknesses but will also add up to your style statement.

2. Attention to your hygiene:

Try to take a hair wash 2 to 3 times a week to get rid of the moisture and other external impurities. Harmful chemicals in rain water and dust from the winds can cause infections. Mild shampoo is the best suited for this season, as it not only cleanse the hair and scalp but also will bring back the shine to your hair.

3. Extra conditioning:

The hair lengths and hair ends come directly in contact with the rain water and wind, so they become frizzy and dry very fast. While conditioning your hair, keep in mind to add a few extra drops of conditioner or you can use lemon juice to your scalp, especially the hair lengths below the ear area. This is the most delicate area in long hair.

4. Big NO to comb sharing:

While we should refrain from this practice across all seasons, during this season it is a strict NO NO.  Skin infection increases during the monsoon and sharing of combs can rises of this problem.

5. Oil your hair:

Oiling your hair softly with your fingertips before washing your hair is something your grandmother would mention you for those to-die- for tresses. Massaging with olive or coconut oil helps in  strengthening the hair roots and curbing hair fall and will add loads of volume and shine to otherwise limp hair.

The mantra:

For healthy hair are healthy hair roots. Try to keep them as healthy and nurtured as possible. Instead of using the hair dryer to dry your hair, try to pat dry your tresses and always use wide toothed comb to de-tangle wet hair. Warm towel treatment also helps control hair fall to a great extent.

Monsoon makeup tips to improve your looks!

Monsoon provides soothing effect to your body just after experiencing the burning sensation of heat over your skin layer during summer. Seasonal make up tips is important to suite your skin type during the particular season. Rain can even melt the makeup which you have applied over your face if proper protection based make up is not applied. But, if you can apply some tips on make up for monsoon season, you can look dazzling and beautiful even in this particular season. If you wish to avoid your make up washing away with water, applying a water proof foundation is important.

Monsoon though is a season that everyone looks out for yet it comes with its own do’s and dont’s list. And when it comes to women the major one being don’t use make-u (or say heavy make-up) during rainy season. The reason is understood without saying – but of-course rains. The heavy downpour would just mess up the complete look and leave you behind looking like a disaster than otherwise.

There are few who might rely on waterproof makeup. But do you really think that even a waterproof product is good during this season? Definitely not. The next question is what do we do to avoid heavy makeup and yet look good. Well read on to get some really amazing makeup tips to enhance your beauty in rainy season:

To start with, try to avoid foundation as much as you can, unless you like getting messed up. Instead replace foundation with face powder. This to an extent will help in keeping the look intact even if you get drenched.

• As mentioned you can use powder in place of heavy base. However even while using face powder see to it that you use only as much as you need it. In other words use face powder to get rid of that greasy look and nothing more.

Blush: Use cream blushers instead of powder or any other type of blushes in the monsoon. The mantra is to use as less blush as you possible can. Even if you get wet in rain remember to just dab it with a tissue and not rub it all over your face. When it comes to blushes, blending is the ultimate keyword. While applying blush on your cheeks blend it in the outward direction. Let it look natural and not like a cakey look. Use more pastel colors during monsoon. Keep it subtle and beautiful.

Eyeshadow: The same goes with the eyeshadows as well. Use subtle colors like beige, brown, pink and so on. And yes when it comes to eye shadows use powdered eye shadows instead of creams. This will keep the eye shadow from melting off on your face.

Mascara: Mascara should be a strict NO-NO during rainy season, until and unless it is very much necessary. Select water resistant mascaras that will at least stay for a while without getting smudged when wet.

Eyeliner and kajal: Use pencil liner then liquid eye liner in the monsoon. This will keep it from running all over your face when you get wet. The perfect look would be to just apply a dash of eyeshadow on your upper eye lid and apply a thin line of kaja. This look will not only look decent but also save you from getting messy.

Lip Color: Settle down with long lasting range of lipsticks during monsoon. Matte is the best choice. Avoid lip gloss as it will get sticky and smudge easily when you get wet. Use dark color lipsticks as it will make you look a shade lighter than your actual complexion and also stay longer.

Hair: Do not leave your hair open during monsoons. Tie it up in a neat bun and use hair accessories instead to accentuate your look. You may even want to learn different types of braiding just to look more fashionable and chic.
